A lot of countries are known for producing the world’s most delicious chocolate kisses. But, they are nothing compared to Bohol. Although, they do not produce chocolate kisses, they have kisses that are way larger than you. And, it’s not only one, there are hundreds and thousands of them.
In Carmen, Bohol, we can find the world famous Chocolate Hills. This is the most famous tourist spot visited more often by tourists. There are at least 1,260 hills scattered around the fifty square kilometer area.
What’s amazing about these hills is that it turns brown during the dry season giving it an almost chocolate-y vibe.
If you’re planning to have a Bohol trip and ask others who have been there for itinerary suggestions, all of them would not miss out Chocolate Hills as part of it. During my vacation there with my family, everyone was too excited when we were about to go to the famous hills.

At first, I almost gave up climbing 214 steps to the observation deck in the Chocolate Hills Complex. 214 steps! That is no joke for someone like me who is physically inactive. But you know what? All of the weariness paid off and instantly subsided once I got hold of the amazing panoramic sight of the hills in their chocolate form. It was majestic! I think I would never see another place that is more beautiful than Chocolate Hills.
